Photography

egret statueAll of the photos used in the design of this web site are my own. Photography has been a passionate hobby and a constant source of pleasure and creativity since I was a child. My photography career began with the brilliant idea of turning the family coal bin into a darkroom when I was 11 years old. Since that time I have been fortunate to be able to number among my friends the great photographer Herb Snitzer, who is best known for his photos of the jazz greats of the 1950s and 1960s, and to have taken a photo-journalism course at USF taught by Beth Reynolds, a very well respected and talented photo-journalist. And I must also acknowledge the many other people who share the same interest but have talent that far exceeds my own but who have nonetheless been willing to offer advice and encouragement to an eager novice.

On this page of my web site I would like to share some of my collections of photographs. I hope you enjoy viewing them half as much as I enjoyed taking them!
